Pursat province is located on the western shore of Lake Tonle Sap, 174 km from Phnom Penh and 106 km from Battambang. Kampong Luong is a natural site on the Tonlé Sap, 35 kilometres to the East of the town of Pursat province. The floating village includes a post of police, schools, restaurants, a clinic, stores and bars. The city is autonomous and is equipped with all the facilities of a city founded.
