Prey Veng is a small province agricultural South of Cambodia, but heavily populated, located on the shores of South-East of the Mekong.
The name of the province literally means "long forest", but it no longer has lush forests, most of the trees was shot over the years.
However, during the pré-Angkorienne period, this must have been one of the areas most populated and the most animated of the country. One of the first pré-Angkorien kingdoms is located in the vicinity of Ba Phnom.
It is also a good stop before continuing to the Viet Nam.

Ba Phnom
is located 78 kilometres east of Phnom Penh and 45 kilometres south of the city of province of Prey Veng. There are four mountains in Ba Phnom: Phnom Sampeou, Laang Phnom, Phnom Thom and Phnom Banhchor.
BA Phnom was once the ancient city Nokor Phnom, which was located near these mountains in Ba Phnom district. There remains some vestiges of the city. Among those which can be observed are parts of the former temple Prasat Chan, which was located opposite Wat Vihear Kuk, at the foot of Phnom Sampeou in the municipality of Cheung Phnom.
Center fish
Fish Growing Center is also one of the favourite tourist attractions in Prey Veng. This location has different types of fish, is visited by many travellers. It is a nature and wildlife reserve.
This centre is located in the Village of rack in the Commune of Peam Ror. It can also be easily reached from the city of province which is 23 kilometres away. Fish Growing Center is also close to many attractions.
Temple Vihear Chan is located in Rong dam Rey, about 30 km (1 h) from the provincial town. It is a historic site.Vihear Chan temple is one of the best religious sites of Prey Veng.
It is classified as one of the best tourist attractions in Prey Veng.
