Preah Vihear is a large northern province of Cambodia bordering the Thailand and Laos to the North, 625 km of the capital of Phnom Penh. This province is home to three of the temples of the era Angkorian most exciting: -the temple of Preah Vihear - the temple of Koh Ker - the temple of Preah Khan and also the communities of many tribes ethnic. Its capital is called Phnom Tbeng Meanchey. It is also one at least of Cambodia. this quiet site is popular for the temple of Preah Vihear, standing in close proximity to the border between Cambodia and the Thailand. the temple of Preah Vihear dedicated to Shiva, is located on the edge of a plateau that dominates the plain of Cambodia. It is an outstanding masterpiece of Khmer architecture, in terms of the plan, decoration and the relationship with the spectacular landscape. The temple is composed of a series of sanctuaries linked by a system of pavements and staircases on a long axis of 800 metres and goes back to the first half of the 11th century of our era. Nevertheless, its complex history dates back to the 9th century, when the Hermitage is based. This site is particularly well-preserved, mainly due to its location remote. it is exceptional for the quality of its architecture, which is adapted to the natural environment and the religious of the temple, as well as service for the exceptional quality of its ornamentation of stone carved. The Committee of the world heritage has completed registration of the temple of Preah Vihear on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites on 8 July with the addition of 19 cultural sites and eight natural sites on the list. The temple of Preah Vihear is located in an environment with an attractive campaign slightly to East of the middle section of the mountain Dongrek, perched on the edge of a giant cliff, approximately 625 meters of altitude. Bakan or Preah Khan temples are located in the village of Ta Siang, 105 kilometres southwest of the city of the province, on a plain which was a place of worship. temple is surrounded by two walls-Interior and exterior: -inside of each bulwark, there are many other temples as temples O'neang Peou and Dangkao Baodos.Le temple was probably a Royal Palace and the worship place. According to historians, the site used to be a hiding place of King Jayavarman VII, the style of some construction is similar to the style of temples Bayon and Ta Prohm. -on the outside of the bulwark, there are many other temples such as the temples of Preah Damrei, Preah Thkaol, Ta Prohm, Buon Muk and Preah Stung. Temple Kor Ker Koh Ker was once a former capital of Cambodia, located in the village of Srayong Cheung, about 49 kilometres west of the city of the province. Koh Ker complex is on the highland Chhork Koki. It was built under King Jayavaraman IV (928-942). the temple of Koh Ker is 35 metres high. The temple is facing West towards the city of Angkor.
