Kratie is one of the eastern provinces of Cambodia with less population, who are living on the banks of the Mekong. < /br > beyond the banks, it is a remote place with almost no population and areas forested.
the provincial capital is also called Kratie and is also on the shores of the majestic Mekong River, including the relief of the province from North to South.
The stretch of the river around the town of Kratie is housed a rare Irrawaddy dolphins group of freshwater. Therefore, the dolphins are the main tourist attraction of the province and the city. The river also has hundreds of circular water and Green Island, which also attract tourists.
The town of Kratie offers an authentic rural atmosphere and therefore serves as the ideal place to spend one or two quiet nights.

these rare freshwater dolphins make their home on a section of bel of the Mekong River near a small set of rapids.
they are arches, breaking the surface of the water as they swim on the region. They are not the jumpers. They have good reason to be shy towards human that they were hunted and killed by fishermen in the past. They are most active in the hours of the morning (around 6 am) and late afternoon and early evening.
